MONROE — A domestic violence call led police to arrest and charge a Dodgeville man with his fourth driving under the influence arrest — in addition to domestic battery-related charges and those for resisting arrest.
The incident began just after 8:40 p.m., when deputies responded to a call reporting a possible case of domestic violence occurring in vehicles that were driving eastbound on Wis. 11, from County GG in the Town of Spring Grove.
“Deputies were advised the suspect was chasing the victim on a motorcycle,” police reports said. “Deputies located the motorcycle and stopped it in the N4100 block of STH 69, in the Town of Monroe.”
Their subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Brayden J. Collins, 27, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, 4th offense, disorderly conduct, two counts of battery, strangulation/suffocation, intimidation of a victim, criminal damage to property; and false imprisonment.
In addition, Collins was charged with two counts of resisting arrest, three counts of threats to law enforcement, and attempted battery to law enforcement. He was also cited for speeding before being taken to Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
