On February 19:
● 4:56 a.m. Aiden M. Dole reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. Dole reported no injuries. Dole’s 2020 GMC received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 7:17 p.m. Lee A. Burke, 68, Darlington reported striking a deer on CTH K, Darlington Township. Burke reported no injuries. Burke’s 2023 Jeep received functional damage and driven from the scene.
On February 20:
● 7:43 a.m. A deputy, Gratiot Fire, Gratiot First Response and Green County EMS responded to CTH W, Gratiot Township for a one vehicle rollover accident. Alina M. Ritch, 17, Apple River was traveling on CTH W when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway causing her vehicle to roll. Ritch reported no injuries. Ritch’s 2009 GMC received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 5:15 p.m. Gary K. Siegenthaler, 61, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Darlington Township. Siegenthaler reported no injuries. Siegenthaler’s 2015 Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On February 21:
● 6:04 a.m. A deputy responded to a disabled vehicle on STH 81, Darlington Township. As a result, Wilmer A. Amaya-Perea, 28, Darlington was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI — 1st Offense). Amaya-Perea was transported to Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he was released to a responsible party. Amaya-Perea was also cited for Operating Without a Valid License (OWL — 1st Offense). Darlington Police and Lafayette County EMS assisted.
● 6:22 a.m. A deputy responded to Bethel Grove RD, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident. Andrew L. Wedige, 54, Shullsburg was traveling on Bethel Grove RD when he lost control of his vehicle, leaving the roadway and struck a bridge causing the vehicle to roll over coming to a rest in a creek. Wedige reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. Wedige’s 2019 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Wedige was cited for Failure to Notify Police of an Accident and Failure to Maintain Control.
On February 28:
● 10:53 p.m. Lafayette EMS responded to Spring ST, City of Darlington for a one-vehicle accident. Nancy Winslow, 72, Darlington was operating her 2007 Pontiac when she left the roadway and struck a tree. Winslow reported minor injuries. Winslow’s Pontiac received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Darlington Police assisted.
On March 2:
● 7:37 a.m. A deputy responded to W Olson ST, Village of Blanchardville for a two vehicle accident. Jason J. Gant, 55, Blanchardville was traveling on W Olson ST when he yielded to an on coming vehicle. While Gant was stopped in the roadway he was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Juniper LT. Watkins, 22, Blanchardville. Neither Gant nor Watkins reported any injuries. Both Watkins’ 2018 Subaru and the 2019 Bus operated by Gant received functional damage and were driven from the scene.
On March 3:
● 6:13 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a one-vehicle accident. Antonio Garcia-Quiroz, 50, Darlington was northbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions, causing him to enter the ditch and strike some brush. No injuries were reported and Garcia-Quiroz’s 2016 Ford received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. As a result, Garcia-Quiroz was cited for Operating without a Valid License and Operating without Insurance.
● 8:34 a.m. A deputy, Belmont Fire, and Belmont EMS responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a two-vehicle accident. Kathyleen M. Crase, 87, Mineral Point was entering USH 151 when she failed to yield right of way to an oncoming semi, operated by Anthony J. Vujakovich, 57, Kewanee IL, causing Crase to strike the semi-trailer. Neither Crase nor Vujakovich reported any injuries. Vujakovich’s 2023 Freightliner received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Crase’s 2022 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On March 4:
● 6:22 p.m. A deputy responded to Main ST, City of Darlington for a disorderly conduct complaint. Preston M. Thoma, 18, Cuba City was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and jailed. Darlington Police assisted.
● 10:52 p.m. A deputy assisted Shullsburg Police on W Water ST in the City for disorderly conduct. Dibal J. Pineda-Treso, 31, Shullsburg was arrested for bail jumping. Pineda-Treso was transported to the Lafayette County Jail, where he was booked and jailed.
On March 5:
● 10:00 p.m. Andrew J. Neff, 40, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 11, Gratiot Township. Neff reported no injuries. Neff’s 2022 GMC received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
