On January 5:
● 1:15 p.m. A deputy, Darlington Fire, and Lafayette County EMS responded to King RD, Willow Springs Township for a one vehicle accident. David E. Villalta-Renderos, 35, Belmont was traveling on CTH G when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, struck a mailbox and continued driving. Villalta-Renderos was later located on Russell RD, Kendall Township. Villalta-Renderos reported minor injuries. Villalta-Renderos’ 2011 Volkswagen received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Villalta-Renderos was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI – 2nd Offense), Operating Without a Valid License (OWL – 2nd Offense), and a valid Lafayette County Warrant. Villalta-Renderos was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. Villalta-Renderos was also cited for No Insurance, Possession of Open Intoxicants, and Hit and Run. Belmont Police and Belmont EMS assisted.
On January 6:
● 6:29 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for a two vehicle accident. Carla M. Brown, 60, Darlington was traveling on STH 23 when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle operated by Maynor D. Lopez-Amaya, 19, Darlington. Neither Brown, nor Lopez-Amaya reported injuries. Both Brown’s 2019 Honda and Lopez-Amaya’s 2010 Mercedes-Benz received functional damage and were driven from the scene. Lopez-Amaya was cited for Operating Without a Valid License (OWL-1st Offense), No Insurance, and Operating Left of Center.
● 9:35 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a two vehicle accident. Micheal J. Martin, 59, Mineral Point was performing a backing maneuver when he struck another vehicle operated by Athena R. Abraham, 39, Darlington. Neither Martin, nor Abraham reported any injuries. Both Martin’s 2021 Chevrolet and Abraham’s 2016 Toyota received functional damage and were driven from the scene.
● 5:30 p.m. Laura S. Coulthard, 52, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Coulthard reported no injuries. Coulthard’s 2009 Jeep received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 6:30 p.m. Deborah L. McArthur, 62, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 78, Gratiot Township. McArthur reported no injuries. McArthur’s 2021 Chrysler received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● 5:03 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for a check welfare.
● 6:35 p.m. A Deputy responded to E Ann ST, City of Darlington for a check welfare.
On January 8:
● 6:32 a.m. Bryan J. Wachter, 61, Scales Mound, IL reported striking a cow while on White Oak Rd, White Oak Springs Township. Wachter reported no injuries and his 2012 Chevy received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 2:33 p.m. Jason J. Hauser,51, Shullsburg reported striking a deer while on STH 23, Darlington Township. Hauser reported no injuries and his 2012 Honda received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 4:45 p.m. Deputies, Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a one vehicle accident. Alixandra M, Fish, 25, Blanchardville was traveling NB on CTH F when she lost control of her vehicle on gravel causing her to hit the guard rail. Fish reported no injuries and her 2022 Chevy received disabling damage and was towed form the scene.

● 8:20 p.m. Stephen E. Mazza, 71, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 81, Darlington Township. No injuries were reported, and Mazza’s 2015 Kia received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On January 14:
● 1:21 a.m. Debra S. Edwards, 62, Shullsburg was arrested on STH 11, Shullsburg Township for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI – 1st Offense). Edwards was transported to Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where she was released to a responsible party.
● 6:14 p.m. Brooke L. Harris, 45, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. Harris reported no injuries. Harris’s 2020 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene

● 10:10 a.m. Derek S. Vick, 32, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 81, Lamont Township. Vick reported no injuries. Vick’s 2009 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 10:38 a.m. A deputy responded to White LN, Gratiot Township for threats. As a result, Kathryn J. Brandenburg-Neff, 64, Gratiot was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Brandenburg-Neff was booked into the Lafayette County Jail and later released.
