On October 5:
● 1:05 a.m. Scott R. Pauls, 37, Lancaster reported striking a deer on STH 81, Elk Grove Township. Pauls reported no injuries. Pauls’ 2021 Hyundai received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 2:34 a.m. Rodney W. McDermott, 61, Benton was cited for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI — 1st Offense) on Roaster RD, Benton Township. McDermott was released to a responsible party.
On October 9:
● 11:57 a.m. Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on STH 11, Gratiot Township. Kay M. Wilson, 89, Stockton, IL was westbound on STH 11 when she attempted to turn into a residential driveway. Wilson turned in front of an eastbound semi operated by Jeffrey S. Berget, 59, Darlington, causing the semi to overturn, spilling his load of corn, and resulting in complete road blockage. Minor injuries were reported and both Wilson’s 2012 Dodge and Berget’s 2015 Peterbilt received severe damage and were towed from the scene. A third vehicle, a 2013 Dodge, owned by General Beer Northeast, Fitchburg, was clipped by Wilson’s van during the incident. Gratiot First Response, Gratiot Fire, Shullsburg EMS, Lafayette County Highway Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene.
On October 10:
● 5:26 p.m. Sara L. ChaCon-Casco,64, Darlington was Cited for Speeding and OWL 1st (Operating Without a License) while traveling on Burke RD, Darlington Township.
● 10:46 p.m. A Deputy responded to W Center ST, Village of South Wayne for a Traffic Complaint. As a result, Ayden R. Wilkins, 18, Monticello was cited for OWI 1st (Operating while Intoxicated), OAS (Operating After Suspension) and Minor in possession of Alcohol.
On October 11:
● 2:57 p.m. Argyle EMS, Argyle Fire and Blanchardville EMS responded to Anderson LN, Argyle Township for an ATV accident. A Deputy and DNR assisted. Emily A. Wedige, 35, Blanchardville was operating a UTV in a Pasture when she crossed a creek and the UTV tipped over on its passenger side. Injuries were reported and Wedige was transported to the hospital.
● 7:07 p.m. Deputies responded to Main St, City of Darlington for a traffic Complaint. As a result David Cruz-Camacho, 27, Darlington was arrested for OWI 1st (Operating While Intoxicated) and OWL 1st (Operating Without a License). He was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was then later released to a responsible party.
On October 12:
● 1:03 a.m. Cody M. Alexander, 33, Waterford, reported Striking a Deer while traveling on STH 81, Darlington Township. His 2008 Toyota received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On October 13:
● 7:58 p.m. William J. Martinez-Villalobos, 20, Freeport was cited for Speeding, Operating Without a Valid License (OWL — 1st Offense), and Passing in a No Passing Zone on STH 81, Elk Grove Township.
