On March 7: 

● 6:50 p.m. Kari L. Fernstaedt, 66, Monroe reported striking a deer on CTH G, Argyle Township. Fernstaedt reported no injuries. Fernstaedt’s 2021 Jeep received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● 7:10 p.m. Kendall R. Baily, 27, Platteville reported striking a deer on CTH I, Shullsburg Township. Baily reported no injuries. Baily’s 2022 Kia received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

On March 8:

● 5:00 a.m. Christine M. Dawson, 57, Rockton IL reported striking a deer on STH 11, Shullsburg Township. Dawson reported no injuries. Dawson’s 2005 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. 

On March 9:

● 7:53 p.m. Gregory A. Paulson, 53, Darlington was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Bail Jumping on CTH E, Darlington Township. Paulson was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. 

On March 10:

● 6:52 a.m. Lori A. Lee, 61, Mineral Point reported striking a deer on CTH D, Darlington Township. No injuries were reported. Lee’s 2020 Jeep received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On March 13:

● 5:07 a.m. Curtis L. Saalsaa, 56, Argyle reported striking a deer on N Riverbend RD, Argyle Township. Saalsaa reported no injuries. Saalsaa’s 2019 Toyota received functional damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 5:42 a.m. Mikeal S. Mosley, 37, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Mosley reported no injuries. Mosley’s 2025 Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● 11:38 p.m. Alex L. Rath, 27, Benton was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI — 1st Offense) on CTH J, Benton Township. Rath was also cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Headlights. Rath was released to a responsible party.

On March 15:

● 7:00 p.m. Steven L Brenum, 75, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported. Brenum’s 2023 Ford received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
