On Feb. 9:

● 3:53 p.m. A deputy responded to County Line Rd, Fayette Township for a one vehicle accident.  Kirk A Jenson, 52, Mineral Point was traveling on County Line Rd when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to exit the road, entering the ditch and striking a fence, due to slippery road conditions.  Jenson’s 2020 Ford received minor damage. No injuries were reported.  

● 7:07 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for a  citizen assist. 

● 9:17 p.m. A deputy responded to Bethel Grove Rd, Town of Belmont for a vehicle in the ditch.  

On Feb. 10:

● 6:16 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH F, Willow Springs Township, for a medical emergency. A deputy and Darlington Police Department assisted on scene.

● 7:04 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11 in the Village of South Wayne for a welfare check.

● 8:03 a.m. A deputy responded to E Prospect ST in the Village of South Wayne for a complaint of threats.

● 10:15 a.m. A deputy responded to Truman RD, Kendall Township, for a traffic hazard of manure on the roadway.

● 10:48 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to Hill ST in the City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police Department assisted on scene.

● 1:57 p.m. Gabino Rodriguez-Lobato, 44, East Dubuque, IL, was cited for Speeding and Operating after Revocation on STH 11, Shullsburg Township.

● 6:53 p.m. Penny A. Allen, 58, Argyle, reported striking a deer on CTH F, Blanchard Township. No injuries were reported and Allen’s 2015 Honda received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 9:38 p.m. Deputies responded to N Van Buren ST in the Village of Benton for a welfare check.

● 10:05 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Argyle Township, for a theft complaint.

● 11:47 p.m. Zaheer Akhtar, 34, Kenosha, was cited for Speeding on STH 11, Gratiot Township.

On Feb.11:

● 12:39 a.m. Joseph A. Boss, 57, Janesville, was cited for Speeding on STH 11, Gratiot Township. 

● 1:13 a.m. Mariah J. Hustad, 25, Platteville, reported striking a deer on Lake RD, Fayette Township. No injuries were reported and Hustad’s 2018 Jeep received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 7:40 a.m. Deputies responded to Holland RD, Seymour Township, for a welfare check.

● 8:44 a.m. Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Godfrey RD, Willow Springs Township. Upon arrival, the vehicle was found to be unoccupied. The vehicle appeared to have been westbound, entered the ditch, and struck a tree before coming to rest. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. The accident remains under investigation. 

● 10:05 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH G, Willow Springs Township, for a medical emergency.

● 1:50 p.m. Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on USH 151, Belmont Township. Peter A. Tarrell, 41, Janesville, was southbound when he swerved to avoid a vehicle the he believed to be turning into his lane of travel. As a result, Tarrell’s vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch. No injuries were reported and Tarrell’s 2023 Hyundai received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

● 2:12 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Argyle Township, for a welfare check.

● 2:44 p.m. Deputies responded to N Park ST in the Village of Belmont for a civil dispute.

● 4:16 p.m. A deputy responded to School ST in the Village of Gratiot for a welfare check. 

● 5:26 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH X, Belmont Township, for a traffic hazard of a hay bale in the roadway. 

● 11:12 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Benton Township, for a traffic complaint.

On Feb. 12:

● 1:17 a.m. Argyle EMS responded to E Milwaukee ST in the Village of Argyle for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 2:11 a.m.  A deputy responded to a one-vehicle accident on STH 81, Darlington Township.  Kaile W. Scott, 19, Gratiot, was traveling eastbound when he fell asleep, causing him to cross the center line, strike a guardrail, and come to rest in the north ditch. No injuries were reported and Scott’s 2010 Chevrolet received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

● 4:50 a.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police Department with a citizen assist on W Harriet ST in the City of Darlington.

● 7:02 a.m. A deputy responded to Lafayette ST in the Village of Belmont for a 911 misdial.

● 7:59 a.m. Gary J. Wedig, 64, Belmont, was cited for No Proof of Insurance, on W Mound RD,Belmont Town-ship.

● 10:02 a.m. A deputy responded to S Division ST in the Village of South Wayne for a 911 misdial.

● 10:04 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Benton Township, to keep the peace.

● 11:02 a.m. A deputy responded to N Van Buren ST in the Village of Benton for a 911 misdial.

● 1:13 p.m. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to Calvert ST in the Village of Benton for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 3:27 p.m. A deputy responded to W Riverside RD, Gratiot Township, for a vehicle unlock.

● 3:31 p.m. A deputy responded to W Water ST in the City of Shullsburg for a  report of theft. 

● 5:12 p.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to E Water ST in the City of Shullsburg for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 7:50 p.m. A deputy responded to Clay ST in the City of Darlington for a citizen assist.

● 8:34 p.m. Christopher M. Purgol, 19, Pleasant Prairie, was cited for Speeding on STH 11, Gratiot Township.

● 10:01 p.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police Department with a traffic stop on STH 23, Darlington Township.

● 7:04 a.m.  A deputy responded to CTH G, Town of Argyle for livestock on the roadway. 

● 2:06 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Town of Belmont for a check welfare. 

● 2:23 p.m.  A deputy responded to State Line Rd, Town of Wayne for a fraud complaint. 

● 4:25 p.m.  A deputy responded to STH 81, Town of Argyle for a check welfare. 

● 4:33 p.m. Charles D Breunig, 45, Darlington was arrested on CTH K, City of Darlington for a Probation and Parole violation.  Breunig was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. 

● 6:50 p.m. Torry M Swiggum, 54, South Wayne reported striking a deer on CTH D, Town of Wayne.  Swiggum’s 2014 received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 9:57 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Argyle Township for a traffic complaint.  

On Feb. 14:

● 6:22 a.m.  A deputy responded to CTH K, Gratiot Township for livestock on the roadway.

● 11:27 a.m. Deputies responded to Johnson Rd, Shullsburg Township for a residential alarm. 

● 11:57 a.m. Brandon W Goldston, 47, Platteville was arrested in Grant County on a valid Lafayette County warrant.  Goldston was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. 

● 2:55 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to Eliza St, City of Darlington for a medical emergency.   

● 8:19 p.m. Deputies responded to Bean St, Village of Benton for a check welfare.

● 8:35 p.m. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to CTH J, Town of Benton for a medical emergency.  Deputy assisted on scene. 

● 11:03 p.m. A deputy responded to Lacey Rd, Town of Wayne for a theft complaint.

● 8:20 a.m. Woodford First and Argyle EMS responded to CTH Y, Wiota Township for a medical emergency.

● 9:20 a.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a traffic hazard.

● 9:47 a.m. A deputy responded to N Galena ST in the Village of South Wayne for criminal damage.

● 12:39 a.m. Argyle EMS responded to E Milwaukee ST in the Village for a medical emergency. Blanchardville and Green County EMS, Argyle Police and a deputy assisted.

● 5:04 p.m. Benton Police, Benton Fire and First Response, Sheriff’s Deputies and Hazel Green EMS responded to W Main ST in the Village of Benton for a three vehicle accident.

● 6:23 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Blanchard Township for a traffic hazard.

● 9:30 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for an abandoned vehicle.

● 11:45 p.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to White School RD, Monticello Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

On Feb. 16:

● 7:58 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH P, Monticello Township for a one vehicle accident. Degan R Euler, 18, Apple River, IL was traveling northbound on CTH PP, driving a 2013 Ford when he swerved to miss a raccoon and went into the ditch. No injuries were reported and Euler’s vehicle was removed from the scene.

● 8:00 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH O, Seymour Township for a one vehicle accident. Brady W Pink, 19, Fennimore was traveling southbound on CTH O in his 2010 Chevrolet when he lost control, went into the ditch and struck a concrete slab. No injuries were reported and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

● 9:02 a.m. A deputy responded to Buncombe RD, Benton Township for ca heck welfare. Benton Police assisted.

● 9:07 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to E Ann ST in the City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 10:23 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH I, New Diggings Township for a report of theft.

● 11:08 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Willow Springs Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 11:43 a.m. Cuba City Fire and EMS responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle accident. Jeremiah M Rogers, 44, Chicago, IL was traveling eastbound on STH 81 in a 2020 Chevrolet when he lost control, entered the ditch and overturned. Rogers was transported to the hospital and his vehicle was towed from the scene. Deputies assisted on scene.
