On July 11:

● 5:17 a.m. Deann M. Moon, 57, Benton reported striking a deer on Miner Way, City of Shullsburg. 

● 5:22 a.m. Alan T Briggs, 65, Warren reported striking a deer on CTH P, Monticello Township. Briggs reported no injuries. Briggs’ 2021 Jeep received functional damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 6:06 a.m. A deputy, Darlington Fire, and Lafayette County EMS responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for a one vehicle accident. Tristan M.D. Teasdale, 21, Monroe was traveling on STH 23 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the guardrail. Teasdale reported no injuries. Teasdale’s 2002 Toyota received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Teasdale was cited for Operating After Suspension, Operating After Suspension of Registration, Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle and No Proof of Insurance. Darlington Police assisted.

● 8:10 a.m. A deputy, Belmont EMS, and Belmont Fire responded to Prairie RD, Kendall Township for a two vehicle accident. Roger J. Richardson, 44, Platteville was traveling on Prairie RD when he failed to stop at the intersection and struck an on coming vehicle operated by Paul E. Copus, 68, Darlington. Neither Richardson, Copus nor their passengers reported any injuries. Richardson’s 2002 Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Copus’ 2013 Dodge received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Richardson was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
