On July 2:

● 12:37 p.m. Deputies responded to STH 81, City of Darlington for a two vehicle accident. Toni M. Harding, 54, Argyle was sitting stationary at a stop sign when the 2024 Volvo semi in front of her, operated by Manuel Marques, 44, Capron IL, backed into her 2023 GMC. Neither Harding, nor Marques reported injuries. Both the 2024 Volvo and Harding’s 2023 GMC received functional damage and were driven from the scene.

On July 4:

● 10:10 p.m. Deputies responded to Galena St, Village of Benton for a Domestic Dispute. Crystal L Bates, 31, East Dubuque IA was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Battery, and Physical Abuse of a Child. She was booked into Lafayette County Jail where she currently remains. Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies and Wisconsin DNR assisted.

On July 5:

● 6:21 p.m. Myles J Mathys,16, Darlington was traveling Eastbound on STH 81, Darlington Township, when he lost traction on the road due to water and over-corrected. Failing to maintain control of his vehicle, Mathys spun around and entered into the opposite side in the ditch backwards where he struck a utility pole. No Injuries were reported. His 2024 Ford was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Mathys was Cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
