On June 14:
● 9:46 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH E, Darlington Township for a one vehicle accident. Calan J Meylor, 18, Mineral Point was traveling eastbound on Mineral RD in a 2018 Chevrolet when failed to stop at a stop sign and went into the ditch, coming to rest in a creek. No injuries were reported and Meylor’s vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage.
On June 15:
● 6:26 p.m. Nathan R Russell, 44, Benton reported striking a deer on Aetna RD, New Diggings Township. No injuries were reported. Russell’s 2022 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 9:55 p.m. Deputies responded to W Water ST, City of Shullsburg for a domestic dispute.
● 9:59 p.m. Madison M Belken, 20, Dubuque reported striking a deer on STH 11, Gratiot Township. No injuries were reported. Belken’s 2007 Toyota received disabling damage.
On June 16:
● 1:10 a.m. Deputies responded to Main ST, Village of Gratiot for a disorderly dispute. As a result, Michael E. Walker, 30, Gratiot, Samantha J. Obel, 29, Monroe, Keenan M. Dickman, 24, Lanark and Lasondra K. Bosley, 25, Milledgeville were all cited for Disorderly Conduct.
● 10:22 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH U, White Oak Springs Township for a theft.
● 3:10 p.m. A deputy responded to E Main ST, Village of Benton for a probation violation.
On June 17:
● 2:22 p.m. A deputy responded to County Shop RD, Darlington Township for a civil dispute.
● 6:35 p.m. A deputy responded to S Kennedy ST, City of Shullsburg for criminal damage.
● 11:18 p.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police on Spring ST in the City for disorderly dispute.
On June 19:
● 12:33 a.m. Kevin C. Wilson, 56, Cuba City was cited for Operating a UTV in Excess of 30 MPH on CTH H, Benton Township.
● 1:52 p.m. A deputy responded to S Lake RD, Fayette Township for a vehicle in the ditch.
● 9:17 p.m. Jodi L. Thoms, 51, Joliet was traveling eastbound on the Cheese Country Trail, Belmont Township in her 2019 Polaris when she lost control of the UTV, entered the ditch and rolled pinning Thoms’ passenger, Daniel P. Hughes, 64, Joliet. Both Thoms and Hughes denied injuries and refused EMS. The 2019 Polaris received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Thoms was cited for Operating in a Reckless Manner. Belmont EMS, Belmont Fire, Southwest Health EMS, and a deputy assisted.
On June 20:
● 7:07 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to Otter Creek RD, Darlington Township for a medical emergency. UW Med-Flight and a deputy assisted.
● 9:45 p.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police on CTH K in the City with a suspicious person.
On June 21:
● 6:03 a.m. A deputy responded to Mineral Rd, Seymour Township for a one vehicle accident. Upon arrival, a 2003 Nissan Xterra, owned by Alex Garcia-Castellon, Janesville, ran the stop sign, exited the roadway and struck a fence causing both airbags to deploy. Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene. The accident remains under investigation.
● 7:52 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a suspicious activity.
● 5:33 p.m. Deputies responded to E Platteville AV, Village of Belmont for a domestic dispute. As a result, Jennifer M. Pretti, 40, Rewey was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence (1st) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pretti was later released to a responsible party.
● 7:37 p.m. Matt J Berget, 42 Gratiot, reported striking a deer on CTH M, Wiota Township. Berget’s 2021 GMC truck received moderate damage. No injuries were reported.
● 8:34 p.m. A deputy responded to Ollie Bell Rd, New Diggings Township for a criminal damage to property complaint.
● 9:28 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg to assist the Shullsburg Police Department with a traffic stop. As a result, Travis T. Atkinson, 30, Mineral Point was arrested for a valid warrant out of Marathon County. Atkinson was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
● 10:41 p.m. A deputy responded to Leahy Rd, Monticello Township for a suspicious vehicle.
On June 22:
● 11:02 a.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police on Clay ST with a fraud complaint.
