On December 18:

● 12:11 p.m. A deputy, South Wayne Fire, South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS responded to STH 11, Village of  South Wayne for a two vehicle accident. David S. Piette, 69, South Wayne was traveling on STH 11 when he stopped to turn onto a side street. Piette was rear ended by Nicole L. Wild, 34, Monroe. Neither Piette, nor Wild reported any injuries. Piette’s 2003 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Wild’s 2014 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● 8:28 p.m. South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS responded to E High ST in the Village for a medical emergency. Marcus P. Gilberts, 34, South Wayne was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Battery, Resisting/Obstruction, and Probation and Parole Violation. Gilberts was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. Darlington Police assisted.
