On July 17:
● 10:18 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for two vehicle accident. Joseph W. Mosely, 28, Darlington was stationary at a stop sign with Cristina C. Wolfe, 44, Darlington was stationary behind him. Mosely attempted a backing maneuver when he backed into Wolfe. Neither Mosely nor Wolfe reported no injuries. Both Mosely’s 2009 Toyota and Wolfe’s 2021 Toyota received functional damage and were driven from the scene.
On July 19:
● 1:17 a.m. Deputies responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township for a Domestic Dispute. Jason K. Coy, 37, Gratiot was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property. He was brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked.
● 2:15 p.m. Heidi A. Heim, 58, Platteville reported Striking a Deer on CTH B, Belmont Township. Heim’s 2015 Chevrolet Equinox received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On July 22:
● 8:33 p.m. A Deputy responded to CTH U, Seymour Township for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Zoe E. Litchfield, 23, Dodgeville failed to stop at a stop sign causing her to strike Merits L Arellano, 45 Shullsburg. Litchfield’s 2019 Toyota struck Arellanos 2024 Chevy. Both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene. Litchfield was cited for Failure to stop at a stop sign and Merit was cited for OWL 1st (Operating without a Driver’s License).
On July 25:
● 5:13 p.m. A deputy, Blanchardville EMS and Blanchardville Fire responded to CTH F, Blanchard Township for a one vehicle accident. Benjamin J. Haakenson, 20, Dodgeville was traveling on CTH F when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and entered the ditch where he came to a rest. Haakenson and his passenger, Grace M. Graber, 20, Dodgeville received no injuries. Haakenson’s 2013 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Haakenson was cited for Operating While Intoxicated (1st Offense), Failure to Maintain Control, and Possession of Alcohol. Graber was cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol. Both Haakenson and Graber were released to responsible parties. Lafayette County EMS and Wisconsin DNR assisted.
● 8:46 p.m. Deputies responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a disorderly dispute. As a result, Jason K. Coy, 37, Gratiot was arrested for Bail Jumping. Coy was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked. Green County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
On July 26:
● 4:27 a.m. A deputy responded to Saints RD, Argyle Township for a check welfare. As a result, Lonnie D. Severson, 57, Argyle was arrested for Bail Jumping and a valid WI DOC warrant. Severson was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked. Argyle EMS assisted.
● 9:04 a.m. A deputy responded to Blake ST, Village of Blanchardville for a one vehicle accident. Noah D. Hanson, 19, Hollandale was operating a motor vehicle in a parking lot off of Blake ST when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a dumpster. Hanson reported no injuries. Hanson’s 2007 Dodge received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Hanson was cited for trespassing.
On July 27:
● 1:45 a.m. Ricky R. Henry Jr., 32, Hazel Green was cited for Operating a UTV While Intoxicated (1st Offense) on Roaster RD, Benton Township. Henry was also cited for Operating on Recreation Trail During Closed Hours. Henry was released to a responsible party.
● 7:44 p.m. Deputies, Gratiot First, Gratiot Fire, and Green County EMS responded to the Cheese Country Trail, Village of Gratiot for a UTV accident. Mark A. Salathe, 58, Gratiot was travelling on the trail when he failed to stop at the stop sign, failed to negotiate a turn and was thrown out of the UTV. Salathe was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the crash. Salathe’s 2023 Can-Am received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Salathe was cited for Operating a UTV While Intoxicated (1st Offense). Wisconsin DNR assisted on scene.
● 10:30 p.m. Jill A. Hazen-Leary, 46, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Darlington Township. Hazen-Leary reported no injuries. Hazen-Leary’s 2023 Nissan received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On July 28:
● 6:50 a.m. A Deputy responded to CTH W, White Oak Springs Township for a two vehicle accident. Bryan Gonzalez, 22, Dubuque, IA was traveling westbound on CTH W and Cheryl A. Burmeister, 65, Gratiot was traveling southbound on CTH O. Gonzalez failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign. Gonzalez’s 2007 Toyota hit Burmeister’s 2025 Hyundai. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene. Gonzalez was Cited for Failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
On July 30:
● 4:16 p.m. Deputies responded to White Oak RD, White Oak Springs Township for a one vehicle accident. William F. Deppe, 67, Shullsburg was traveling on White Oak RD when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck multiple trees. Deppe reported no injuries. Deppe’s 2012 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
