On August 25:
● At 7:34 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of Fairview Rd. & Washington Rd., in the Town of Washington, for a single vehicle crash. The investigation found that Taylor A. Kenney, 24, of Monroe, was traveling eastbound on Fairview Rd. and was approaching the intersection faster than intended due to glare from the sun. Kenney then advised that she applied the brakes, lost control of the vehicle, and struck an embankment in the north ditch. The vehicle then overturned and came to a rest. Kenney reported that she was uninjured wearing her seatbelt at the time of incident. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
On August 29:
● At 6:35 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 81 & CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a two-vehicle crash without injury. The investigation found that Cody S. Haberman, 34, of Janesville, was traveling westbound on STH 81 and began turning to drive northbound on CTH T. It was determined that Haberman was traveling too fast to negotiate the turn, lost control of his vehicle, and then collided with Sarah K. Swantek, 48, of Janesville, who was stopped at the stop sign on CTH T. Haberman and Swantek advised they were uninjured and wearing their seatbelts. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage, without airbag deployment, and were towed from the scene. The investigation resulted in Haberman being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence. Haberman was additionally cited for Operating While Revoked, Failure to Control Vehicle, and Operating without Motor Vehicle Insurance. Haberman was later released pending court.
On August 30:
● At 2:38 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the N7400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus. The investigation resulted in the driver, Emily M. Crosby, 24, of Freeport, being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and warned for Speeding. Crosby was later released pending court.
● At 7:07 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the W1700 block of STH 11, in the Town of Spring Grove. The investigation resulted in the driver, Jesus H. Tejada Hernandez, 46, of Dakota, IL being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence. Tejada Hernandez was additionally cited for Speeding. Tejada Hernandez was later released pending court.
On August 31:
● At 1:06 a.m., Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W8000 block of STH 11, in the Town of Cadiz. The vehicle then fled Deputies, which resulted in a pursuit of the vehicle. The vehicle was later stopped and the investigation resulted in the driver, Jeromy J. Ballard, 45, of Monroe, being placed under arrest for Knowingly Flee/Elude Law Enforcement, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Operating While under the Influence. Ballard was additionally cited for Operating Left of Center, Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed, and Unsafe Lane Deviation. Ballard was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
