On October 21:

● At 6:49 a.m., Deputies, along with Monticello FD and Green County EMS, responded to the intersection of STH 69 & Wittenwyler Rd., in the Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a reported two-vehicle crash with unknown injuries. The investigation found that Kelvin W. Johnson, 64, of Monticello, was traveling southbound on STH 69 and had began slowing down to turn eastbound on Wittenwyler. David J. West, 26, of Belleville, who was also traveling southbound on STH 69 behind Johnson, failed to slow down and collided with the rear end of Johnson’s vehicle. Johnson advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was later transported to the hospital for further medical evaluation. Johnson’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene. West advised he was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt.  West’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene. West was later cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control and released pending court. 

● At 8:05 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 69 & CTH H, in the Town of New Glarus, for a reported two-vehicle crash with no injuries. The investigation found Aaron M. Kurschner, 27, of Verona, was traveling southbound on STH 69 when Tanya L. Hoffman Teasdale, 49, of Monticello, was turning northbound on STH 69 from CTH H. Hoffman Teasdale failed to yield to Kurschner causing them to collide. Both Kurschner and Hoffman Teasdale advised they were uninjured and wearing their seatbelts. Both vehicles sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and were driven from the scene. 

● At 4:36 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St. (Probation & Parole), in the City of Monroe, where Alton L. Bellows, 42, of Monroe, was placed under arrest for a Probation Violation. Bellows was later incarcerated at Green County Jail.

On October 22:

● At 2:10 p.m., Deputies responded to the W1400 block of STH 11, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a semi-truck and trailer that had its brakes catch on fire. The investigation found that Timur Nasimov, 28, of Philadelphia was traveling eastbound when he observed flames coming from the rear driver side of the trailer. Nasimov then pulled over and extinguished the fire. Nasimov was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt at the time of incident. The truck was disabled as a result and remained on scene awaiting repair. 

On October 23:

● At 9:30 a.m., Deputies arrested Larry A Strothman, 37, Monroe, for a Probation Violation at Green County Justice Center, 2841 6th St, City of Monroe. Strothman was jailed.

On October 24:

● At approximately 8:50 p.m., Deputies responded to the N8200 blk of CTH J, Town of York, for a car vs. calf crash. Investigation determined the operator, Ronald Anderson, 82 of Monroe, was traveling south on CTH J when he struck a calf in the roadway. Ronald reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.

On October 25: 

● At 6:36 a.m., Deputies, along with Brooklyn FD and Brooklyn EMS, responded to the intersection of STH 104 & Amidon Rd., in the Town of Brooklyn, for a two-vehicle crash with injury. The investigation found that Riaan P. Fourie, 30, of Evansville, was traveling northbound and attempting to turn westbound onto Amidon Rd. when Anne M. Marchello, 81, of Westfield, was traveling southbound and collided with Fourie. Marchello advised she was wearing her seatbelt and sustained non-life threatening injury. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Fourie advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. His vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Fourie was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way Causing Injury and released pending court.  

● At 1:45 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 104 & St. John Rd., in the Town of Decatur, for a two-vehicle crash without injury. The investigation found that Ricky P. Phillips, 32, of South Wayne, was traveling northbound and attempted to turn westbound onto St. John Rd. While turning, Phillips was struck by Cade R. Walker, 21, of Brodhead, who was traveling southbound on STH 104.  Phillips and Walker advised they were both wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured.  Phillips’ vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Walker’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Phillips was cited for Failure to Yield while Making a Left Turn and released pending court. 

 On October 26:

● At 11:40 p.m., Deputies, along with Brodhead PD, Brodhead EMS, and Brodhead FD, responded to a one-vehicle crash with unknown injuries in the N4400 block of CTH E, in the Town of Decatur. The investigation found that Jeffrey D. Kocher, 25, of Aubrey, TX, was traveling southbound when he entered the west shoulder, collided with an embankment to a driveway, overturned, struck a utility pole, and then came to a rest on a fence. Kocher advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  Kocher’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. The investigation resulted in Kocher being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence. Kocher was additionally cited for Driving too Fast for Conditions. Kocher was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.

On October 27:

● At 2:49 a.m., Deputies responded to the 200 block of N. Water St., in the Village of Albany, for a reported ongoing physical altercation. The investigation resulted in Lucas J. Nelson, 32, of Oak Lawn, IL, being placed under arrest for Battery and Disorderly Conduct. Nelson was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending the posting of his bond or court. Brodhead PD assisted with this incident. 

● At 8:55 a.m., Deputies responded to the W6000 block of Loveland Rd., in the Town of Washington, where Abell Herrera Lopez, 54, of Monticello, was placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant. Herrera Lopez was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. 

● At 6:00 p.m., Deputies responded to the W5200 block of Hefty Rd., in the Town of Washington, for further investigation regarding a reported domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in Bryce M. Klitzke, 29, of Monticello, being placed under arrest for Strangulation & Suffocation, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct (all domestic abuse related). Klitzke was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.  

On October 28:

● At 8:54 p.m., Deputies and Belleville PD responded to a residence in the 100 block of Railroad St, Village of Brooklyn, for a domestic problem. An investigation resulted in William J. Lekander, 36, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Battery under the Domestic Abuse Law. William was jailed pending a court appearance.

On October 31:

● At 3:18 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St. (Probation & Parole), in the City of Monroe, where Skylar J. Martin, 30, of Monroe, was placed under arrest for a Probation Violation. Martin was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

On November 1:

● At 2:20 a.m., Myles I. Annis, 31, of Browntown, was stopped for speeding in the N1000 block of STH 69, in the Town of Clarno. The investigation resulted in Annis being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence. Annis was additionally cited for Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and speeding. Annis was released to a responsible party pending a court date.

On November 2:

● At 1:46 a.m., GRSO Deputies, Argyle EMS, Green County EMS, and Argyle FD, responded to a rollover crash in the W8000 block of CTH C, Town of Adams. Julie M Swedlund, 42, Monticello, was eastbound when she swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. The vehicle struck a driveway, went airborne, and came to rest on its passenger side. Swedlund reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained injuries. She was transported to an area hospital. There was airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, and was towed from the scene. Swedlund was arrested for OWI 1st - Alcohol, and cited for Failure to Maintain Control. She was jailed pending release to a responsible party, and a mandatory court appearance.

● At 2:46 a.m., Deputies, Green County EMS, and Monticello FD responded to a rollover crash in the N5500 block of STH 69, Town of Washington. Alyjah T. Baker, 20, Freeport, IL, reported he was northbound when he swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. Baker lost control of his vehicle and entered the east ditch, where his vehicle rolled over. Baker sustained injuries, but was not transported. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Baker reported wearing his seatbelt, and there was airbag deployment. Baker was cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, and was released pending a court appearance.

On November 5:

● At 7:56 a.m., Deputies responded to the N9400 block of STH 92, in the Town of Exeter, for a single-vehicle crash with no injury.  The investigation found that Evan K. Thomas, 17, of Belleville, was traveling northbound negotiating a curve when he lost control of the vehicle due to wet road conditions. Thomas’ vehicle then traveled into the east ditch, where he was unable to stop and then collided with a utility pole. Thomas advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. Thomas’ vehicle sustained disabling front end damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. 

● At 6:10 p.m., Deputies, along with Monroe Rural FD and Green County EMS, responded to the N3400 block of CTH N, in the Town of Monroe, for a two-vehicle crash with injury. The investigation found that Lonnie J. Schmid, 69, of Monticello, was traveling southbound when he slowed down to avoid a deer in the roadway. A vehicle behind Schmid, operated by Joshua H. Diederich, 28, of New Glarus, then collided with the back of Schmid’s vehicle. Schmid and Diederich advised they were both wearing their seatbelts and Diederich was uninjured.  Schmid was later transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injury.  Schmid’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment. Diederich’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  

On November 6:

● At 3:42 a.m., Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N7200 block of STH 69, Town of Washington. Lavon F. McCannon, 26, IL, was cited for speed (73/55), operating without a valid DL, and non-registration of a motor vehicle. McCannon was released pending a court date.

On November 7:

● At 5:08 p.m., Deputies along with BHFD and BH EMS, responded to the N500 block of CTH G, Town of Spring Grove, for car vs tree accident. Investigations found that the driver, Cesar Salgado, 22, of Brodhead, was southbound on CTH G, when he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Salgado reported no injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt, and there was a combination of airbags. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
