On May 3:
● At 8:29 PM, Deputies responded to a residence in the 400 block of N. Monroe Street, Village of Monticello, for a reported unwanted subject at the residence. Investigation resulted in Nathan J. Smith, 42, Monticello, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct- Domestic. Smith was jailed pending court or bond.
On May 6:
● At 8:30 p.m., Deputies responded to the W9100 block of STH 11, Town of Cadiz, for a reported crash where the vehicle fled the scene. Investigation resulted in the driver, Peter J. Knutson, 46, of Monroe being placed under arrest for Bail Jumping and a Probation/Parole Violation. Knutson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
On May 7:
● At 10:06 a.m., Deputies responded to the N7400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus, for a two vehicle crash. Investigation found a vehicle operated by Janice L Teasdale, 41, of Monticello, was northbound on STH 69 when a vehicle operated by Joseph R Schwarzenberger, 35, of Monticello, pulled too far out into the road from a driveway, causing Teasdale to collide with his vehicle. Teasdale and Schwarzenberger were not injured, they were wearing seatbelts, and there was no airbag deployment. Both vehicles sustained functional damage and were driven from the scene.
On May 10:
● At 5:15 PM, Deputies responded to the N2400 block of CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a single vehicle crash with unknown injuries. The investigation found that Marcos Zopiyactle Zalamihua, 32, of Freeport, was traveling southbound when he lost visibility due to dust from the gravel road. Zopiyactle Zalamihua then entered the west ditch, where the vehicle overturned and then came to a rest upright in the west field. Zopiyactle Zalamihua advised he was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt. The passenger in the vehicle, Zenaido Tetlatle, 20, of Freeport, also reported he was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt. Zopiyactle Zalamihua’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and remained on scene pending a tow truck. The investigation resulted in Zopiyactle Zalamihua being cited for Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License and released pending court.
● At 6:45 p.m., Deputies responded to the 200 block of W. South St., in the Town of Cadiz, for a reported civil dispute. The investigation resulted in Randy L. Boeck, 65, of Browntown, being placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant through Rock County. Deputies later met with Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies, who took custody of Boeck.
On May 12:
● At 1:02 a.m., Deputies conducted a field contact at N2320 Mt. Hope Rd. (Clarence Bridge Park), in the Town of Spring Grove. During the contact, it was found that Korben E. Brown, 21, of Brodhead, had an active arrest warrant. Brown was later placed under arrest and incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
● At 7:57 p.m., Deputies and Juda FD responded to the N3400 block of Balls Mill Rd,Town of Sylvester, for a report of a downed power pole. Investigation revealed that Implement of Husbandry was conducting farming operations in the field to the east of the roadway, when the tiller caught a guy wire, causing two power poles to fall. The operator, John J. Broger, 70, Juda, reported no injuries, and no seatbelt usage. The tiller sustained minor damage and the implements were driven from the scene. Alliant Energy was contacted and requested the roadway be closed for repairs. Alliant will notify GRSO when repairs are complete and the roadway can be opened.
On May 13:
● At 6:19 a.m., Deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch in the N3900 block of STH 59, Town of Sylvester. Brock Leikness, 18, Janesville, was westbound when he advised he swerved to miss a deer, and left the roadway, went down an embankment and collided with the ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and airbag deployment. Leikness reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
● At 1:16 p.m., Deputies attempted to stop a sport bike for speeding in the W4100 block of STH 11, Town of Jefferson. The sport bike increased its speed and exited the highway. Deputies finally stopped the sport bike after a brief pursuit, and the operator was identified as Mitchel Disch, 43, Albany. Disch was arrested for two counts of felony bail jumping. He was cited for speeding, Operating After Revocation, No Insurance, and Fail to Stop at Stop Sign. Charges of Felony Eluding an Officer were referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office. Disch was jailed pending a court appearance.
On May 14:
● At 11:00 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 blk of 6th Street, City of Monroe, and arrested, Daymein D. King, 18, of Argyle, for a probation violation. King was transported to the Green County Jail.
● At 6:21p.m., Deputies, along with Belleville Fire, New Glarus EMS and Fitchrona EMS, responded to the N8200 blk of CTH CC, Town of Exeter, for a two vehicle accident. Investigation found that a vehicle operated by, Sara M. Novotny, 43, of Belleville was southbound on CTH CC, when another vehicle, operated by, James E. Markhardt, 17 of Belleville, attempted to make a turn in a private driveway in front of Novotny’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained injuries. There were airbags deployed in both vehicles and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
On May 16:
● At 7:51 a.m., MPD along with deputies responded to the N3000 block of STH 69, in the Town of Monroe for a two vehicle crash. A vehicle operated by Baileigh M Jelle, 16, Monroe was southbound on STH 69 when she attempted to merge into the right lane. Baileigh did not look before merging. Baileigh sideswiped another southbound vehicle operated by Grayce E. Clark, 19, Monroe. Both drivers were not injured, they were wearing seatbelts, and there was no airbag deployment. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
● At 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to the Probation & Parole Office, 2841 6th St, Monroe, to take custody of Dylan T. Severson, 32, Juda. Severson was transported to the Green County Jail, and turned over to jail staff.
● At 2:28 p.m., deputies responded to the Probation & Parole Office, 2841 6th St, Monroe, to take custody of Ronnieann A. Devalk, 19, Juda. Devalk was transported to the Green County Jail, and turned over to jail staff.
On May 20:
At 5:06 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 81 & CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a two-vehicle crash with no reported injuries. The investigation found that Brayden W. Lincicum, 25, of South Wayne, was traveling southbound on CTH T and began turning westbound on STH 81. A second driver, Lesly Cinto Meja, 25, of Beloit, was traveling westbound on STH 81 and accelerated as Linicum was turning, causing them to collide. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, with no airbag deployment, and were driven from the scene. Lincicum and Meja advised they were wearing their seatbelts and uninjured. The investigation resulted in Meja being cited for Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License. Meja was later released pending court.
● At 11:25 a.m., officers were called to a report of a hit and run accident, with no reported injuries, in the 1600 block of 14th Avenue. Using information provided, officers located the offending vehicle and driver a short distance away in a residence garage. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jose E. Chacon Aju,18, of Brodhead, was traveling north on 14th Avenue, crossed the centerline and collided with a legally parked unoccupied vehicle. Chacon Aju drive away from the scene and put the vehicle in a nearby garage. Chacon Aju’s vehicle sustained severe damages and the other vehicle sustained moderate damages. Chacon Aju was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating left of the centerline, hit and run to an unattended vehicle, operating without insurance and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Chacon Aju was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On May 22:
● At 7:44 p.m., Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of N Monroe St in the Village of Monticello. After an investigation, Nathan J Smith, 42, Monticello, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct - Domestic Abuse, and misdemeanor bail jumping. Smith posted bond and was released from jail.New Glarus PD assisted at the scene.
On May 23:
● At 12:18 a.m., Deputies responded to the W3500 block of CTH C, in the Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a reported single vehicle crash. The investigation found that Emma R. Riese, 21, of Belleville, was traveling eastbound when a deer entered the road and collided with her vehicle. Following the collision, the vehicle entered the north ditch and overturned. Riese sustained apparent non-life-threatening injuries and reported to be wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
