On June 11:
● At 9:41 p.m., Deputies responded to the W900 block of Mohns Clark Rd., in the Town of Spring Grove, for a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in Corinne L. Vanhauen, 35, of Pecatonica, IL, being placed under arrest for Battery and Disorderly Conduct, falling under Wisconsin’s domestic abuse laws. Vanhauen was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
On June 12:
● At 12:02 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St. (Probation and Parole), in the City of Monroe, where Jerry V. Coplien, 34, of Monroe, was placed under arrest for Probation Hold. Coplien was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
On June 13:
● At 9:14 a.m., Deputies, Brodhead PD, Brodhead FD and EMS responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries in the W400 block of CTH E, Town of Decatur. A pickup and trailer was parked on the north side of the roadway with its hazards activated and orange reflective cones deployed to the front and rear of the vehicle and trailer. A vehicle driven by Beverly A Hoeper, 82, Brodhead, was westbound when she drove up onto the trailer, and off the side of the trailer. Hoeper reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained injuries. She was transported to an area hospital via EMS. Hoeper’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Hoeper was cited for inattentive driving.
The pickup and trailer, owned by J&B Excavating LLC was also damaged in the incident. J&B Excavating was cited for non-registration of the trailer
On June 14:
● At 1:14 p.m., Deputies responded to the N4600 block of CTH E, in the Town of Decatur, for a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in Darren R. Chernesky, 31, of Glen Ellyn, IL being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Chernesky was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
On June 15:
● At 6:07 a.m., Deputies stopped Tearance T Price, 37, Freeport, for speeding in the N4500 block of STH 69, Town of Monroe. He was cited for speeding and arrested on a Lafayette County warrant. He was jailed at the Green County Jail pending posting of bond or transport to Lafayette County Jail.
● At 7:16 p.m., Deputies responded to a rollover crash in the N2200 block of CTH K, Town of Clarno. Carlos Reyes Hernandez, 25, Monroe, was southbound, negotiating a curve, when he lost control on the chip-sealed roadway. The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the east ditch, struck a culvert and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels, facing west. Reyes Hernandez and his passenger, Marin Santana Macrin, 32, Monroe, reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured. There was no airbag deployment and the vehicle sustained overall disabling damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Santana Macrin was cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, and released with a court date.
Reyes Hernandez was arrested for Operate While Intoxicated 1st offense (alcohol). He was cited for Prohibited Alcohol Concentration 1st offense, and released to a responsible party pending a court date.
On June 16:
● At 1:40 p.m., Deputies responded to the N5400 block of STH 69, in the Town of Washington, for a report of a one vehicle crash with no injuries. The investigation found that Steven W. Gerber, 44, of Monroe, was traveling southbound and swerved to avoid a deer in the road. Gerber then entered the west ditch where he collided with a street sign and then the vehicle came to a rest. Gerber advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. Gerber’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.
