On December 31:

● At 10:34 a.m., Deputies responded to the Argyle Interchange, STH 81 W/STH 11/STH 69 S, Town of Monroe for a two vehicle crash with no injuries. Pamela K. Alexander, 69, Monroe, was traveling southbound on STH 81.  Sherri L. Holmes, 66, Monroe, failed to yield at the stop sign and proceeded southbound onto STH  81, causing Alexander’s vehicle to rear end Holmes’ vehicle.  Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Alexander’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.  Holmes’ vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.  Holmes was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign.

● At 10:49 p.m., Deputies, New Glarus Police, New Glarus Fire Department, Belleville EMS, Green County EMS, and Medflight responded to a crash in the W6900 block of STH 39, Town of New Glarus. Lily E McMahan, 25, Belleville, was eastbound when her passenger jumped from the moving vehicle.  Markus J Markiewicz, 24, Belleville, sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.  McMahan reported wearing her seatbelt at the time, and was uninjured.  The vehicle sustained no damage with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.  

On January 3:

● At 10:41 a.m., Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 200 blk of 2nd Street, in the City of Monroe.  The investigation resulted in the driver, Roger L. Nelson, 77, of Verona, being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence -3rd offense.  Nelson was additionally cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Nelson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. 

● At 5:20 p.m., Deputies responded to the W400 blk of Dunphy Rd., Town of Albany for a two vehicle crash with no injuries. The investigation found Tracy A Gobeli, 43, of Monticello was driving eastbound when she suddenly stopped for deer crossing the roadway.  The driver of the second vehicle, Katie L. Neild, 31, of Brooklyn, was driving behind Gobeli, and was unable to stop before colliding into the rear of Gobeli’s vehicle. Both driver’s reported being uninjured and wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.  Both vehicles had minor damage and were driven from the scene.  

On January 4:

● At 11:43 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W3500 blk of CTH W, Town of Exeter.  The investigation resulted in Casey B. Murray, 33, of New Glarus, being cited for possession of THC.  Casey was released pending court.

● At 9:46 a.m., Deputies met Evansville Police Department in the N6000 blk of STH 104, Town of Albany, for a line meet to take custody of Amber Martin, 31, of Evansville, who had an active warrant in Green County.  Martin was placed under arrest and transported to the Green County Jail pending court.
