Monroe Fire

MONROE — A grass fire in a farmer’s field was reported off Benkert Road at about 3:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25. A local utility company’s pole in the field started having an electrical arc, which started the fire in the surrounding vegetation right below it. 

The utility company responded to take care of the issue. There was no significant damage.
