Browntown Fire
BROWNTOWN — A fire in an older barn was reported on a residential farm property in the N300 block of Clark Road at about 2 p.m. Friday, March 29. The cause was undetermined. The former milking barn was being used for storage, including a wagon, utility tractor and about 20 round bales of hay. The barn and its contents were a total loss. No cattle were present. No injuries were reported. Browntown firefighters called for assistance from the South Wayne Fire Department, which came with two tankers, an engine and a squad, and the Winslow Fire Department, which came with a tanker. Firefighters stayed on scene about six hours.
Monroe Fire
MONROE — An out-of-control field fire was reported on a property on County B east of Honey Creek Road midday Wednesday, April 3. Winds that picked up speed in the early afternoon caused a rubbish fire to spread. About three to four acres burned. Firefighters stayed on scene about an hour.

● Blanchardville EMS responded at 3:50 p.m. to North Main Street in Blanchardville. Blanchardville police assisted on scene.
