●  Mark Edward Roberts, 58, Beloit, pleaded guilty Aug. 14 to a misdemeanor charge of retail theft, with related charges dismissed but “read in.” He was sentenced to 31 days in jail, with time served. He owes $838. 27 in court assessments. Court records indicate he shoplifted Miller High Life and fireworks on July 4 and an air compressor and sandals on July 13 from the Monroe Walmart, a combined value of $396.27.
