Convicted of sexually assaulting minors, Allen to be released today

MONROE - A man convicted of sexually assaulting minors in 2008 and 2011 will be released today from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections to a Monroe residence.

Robert William Allen, 34, was convicted of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between the ages of 13 and 16 in Stephenson County in 2008. Allen was also convicted of one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child in Green County in 2011.

After his second conviction, Allen was sentenced to five years in state prison and 11 years of extended supervision. His prison sentence completed, Allen will now reside at a residence in the 1300 block of 17th Street.

The conditions of Allen's supervision prohibit him from contact with anyone under the age of 18.
