MONROE - The Streets and Sanitation Department has begun hauling compost to the parking lot by the band shell at Twining Park. It will be hauled to this site as time and weather permits.

Only City of Monroe residents may get compost from this location. The compost is not meant to be hauled away with bucket-type equipment, such as a skid steer, endloader, tractor with bucket, etc.

Delivery of a 5-yard load of compost is available to City of Monroe residents for a $45 fee payable in advance at the city treasurer's office currently located at the Police Department, or at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

To place an order, call 608-329-2490 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
