MONROE - The City of Monroe Streets and Sanitation Department has begun hauling compost to the parking lot by the Twining Park bandshell. It will be hauled to this site as time and weather permits.
Only Monroe residents may get compost from the location. The compost is not meant to be hauled away with bucket-type equipment, such as a skid steer, end-loader and tractor with bucket.
Delivery of a 5-yard load of compost is available to Monroe residents for a $40 fee payable in advance at the city treasurer's office at city hall.
To place an order, call 608-329-2490 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
