• Discussed and recommended to Council to approve special events for Monroe Balloon Rally June 19-20 at the Green County Fairgrounds, and the Parks and Recreation Independence Day Celebration July 4 at Twining Park.

• Was informed that Mayor Ron Marsh had sent a letter to Walmart inquiring about installation of a sidewalk along the east side of the 700 block of 6th Avenue West. • Discussed and recommended to the Finance and Taxation Committee to approve a contract with Wisconsin License Center for the Police Department to be a vendor for registration renewal stickers. The city would receive about $5 to $10 per registration renewal. Police Chief Fred Kelley said about $10,000 per year could be raised, based on the amount previously sold at Dick's and presently sold at the DMV station in Ace Hardware. Kelly said parking personnel would be used to cover the service at the Police Department.
