City of Monroe Public Property Committee: May 4, 2010

MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Public Property Committee:

• Received an update on sale/disposal of parking meters. The city sold all of 521 parking meters removed from the Square area at $20 each in about 20 days, raising $10,420. The money will be deposited in the general fund unless the Street Department requests it.

• Recommend council approve renewing the lease agreement with Green County Historical Society, at $1 per year.

• Received updates on Green County Humane Society future move to county-owned property at Pleasant View and state of repair of the current city-owned dog pound building. Members requested a meeting with Green County Humane Society President Paul Barrett to discuss current and future agreements.
