MONROE - At a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee:
• Discussed and approved a $5,000 transfer of Dorothy Meythaler estate gift to Senior Center Community Foundation Endowment Fund.
• Discussed and recommended to council to set an amount of $25,000 and approve use of TIF 7 funds to pay for Main Street annual operating expense necessary to carry out TIF 7 project plan.
• Discussed bonding and financing for 8th/9th Street project and proposed west-side fire station and voted to send the issue to the council for discussion.
