MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Board of Public Works:

• Met with Randy Much from Midwest Contract Operations to discuss a proposal for wastewater management services, and delayed taking action because the city is currently in the process of hiring a Waterwater Treatment Plant superintendent.

• Approved payment of bills in the amounts of $24,071.50 from Water Well Solutions for emergency repairs on Well No. 6; $21,392.50 from Water Well Solutions for work on Well No. 3; $1,218.04 from Green Valley Disposal for January recycling services; $9,346.50 from Whitney Tree Service for tree removal and trimming; and $1,713.50 from NSA Professional Service for work on stormwater quality master plan.
