MONROE - The Green County Child Advocacy Center will celebrate its new home with an open house at 2809 6th St., Monroe, from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday.
"The Brick House" event will feature refreshments, guided tours and an opportunity to meet the center's multi-disciplinary team.
GCCAC opened its doors in Monroe about eight years ago at Monroe Clinic. The organization's new building, previously used by the highway department, was given to GCCAC by the county in August and will allow more space and privacy for victims of abuse or neglect.
With the help of local volunteers, the organization's remodeling project at the new location included wall additions, making the center handicap accessible and many hours of painting, cleaning and carpeting.
