MONROE - Green County Cheese Days is seeking volunteers for the 100th anniversary planning committee for the 2014 festival. Those interested in volunteering can attend a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, June 17 in the former courtroom of the Green County Courthouse.
The evening will begin with a review of ideas gathered at a brainstorming meeting held last year, as well input on additional ideas. The group will then be asked to divide into areas of interest for additional discussion. Anticipated sub-committees are: Community outreach, general publicity, media day, contests and fun, and cheese education/food-type activities.
