Changes made to solicitors rules

MONROE - The Green County Board of Supervisors enacted a modification to County Ordinance 6-1, "Nonresident Solicitors" on Dec. 8. The code allows the sheriff to manage and enforce a soliciting, canvassing and direct-sales permit system for the unincorporated areas of the county. This revision brings new life into an older consumer protection law dealing with transient merchants and repairmen.
