This photograph of a 1935 Monroe High School junior prom dinner party was obtained from the collection of Bob and Harriette Riemer Trumpy. It reminds visitors that the GCHS exhibit this summer, Gowns, Gowns, Gowns, is on display from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until October. The display includes 13 dolls made and dressed here in Monroe by Doris and Ed Blair in the 1930s and 1940s. At the same time, visitors can see the first two newly refurbished stained glass windows. If you can identify any of the people in this photo or have any questions about GCHS, contact Matt Figi at mfigi48@tds.net or 608-325-6503. (Photo supplied by the Green County Historical Society)
