MONROE - A car/motorcycle cruise benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be held Saturday, Oct. 5.
Cruisin' for St. Jude, a one- to two-hour cruise, will start at 10:30 a.m. at Piggly Wiggly, 725 8th St., with a stop along the way for lunch. A rain date is set for Saturday, Oct. 12.
Funds will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude treats upwards of 260 patients each day. On average, 5,700 active patients visit the hospital each year, most treated as outpatients.
