TOWN OF JORDAN — Deputies issued an animal-related public nuisance citation to a rural Monroe man following a car vs. cow crash Nov. 15.

Mark A. Bartosik, 59, faces a fine of $263.50 for the county ordinance violation.

The accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. near Bartosik’s property on County M, Town of Jordan. Jeremy E. Vanacker, 46, Baileyville, Illinois, was northbound when his car collided with a cow in the roadway. Vanacker reported no injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.
