MONROE - Two men were arrested by Monroe police at about 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of 19th Avenue after officers learned one was involved with a burglary in the Town of Beloit and a car theft in Manitowoc.
Dustin L. Bone, 24, Beloit, and Sean R. Bone, 26, Monroe, were jailed pending further court proceedings.
The two men were staying with friends in Monroe when they were arrested.
Dustin Bone was arrested for a Town of Beloit warrant charging him with burglary, driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, theft and entry into a locked vehicle.
Sean Bone was arrested for a Green County warrant, issued April 16, charging him with sex with a child age 16 or older and two counts of exposing himself to a child, all class A misdemeanors, and three counts of computer message threaten/obscenity, all class B misdemeanors. He faces more than two years in jail and up to $33,000 in fines, if convicted.
Monroe Police Chief Fred Kelley said Monroe Police were notified by Town of Beloit police that a man suspected in a burglary in the Town of Beloit and a vehicle theft from Manitowoc were in Monroe.
The stolen vehicle, a 1992 Toyota, was seen at about 1 p.m. in front of a residence in the 500 block of 19th Avenue, on Monroe's north side.
Monroe officers contacted the tenants of the location as they walked outside and were able to determine the two men were inside the residence. The tenants called the subject up from the basement and he was taken into custody.
