Position sought: Monticello School Board
Age: 48
City/town of residence: Monticello
Family: Wife Jane; four kids, Kristen, Nicole, Tanya and Ryan

Previous elected positions held: Monticello school board 12 years
What are the top issues facing this district and how would you work to resolve it?
Keeping up with the technology that our kids need to be successful in today's world. Which means trying to have the best equipment in tech, and trying to budget it. So far we have been very good at getting grants and private donations to fill the needs of technology.
What are other key issues facing the district, and how would you work to resolve them?
Closing the achievement gap. This is a federal mandate that is new. Working with staff and getting them the tools needed.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I am a life-long resident of Monticello and am very proud of our community. When I look at an issue on the board, I always look at it two says. First, what is best for our kids. Second, what is best for the community. Without the support of the community, you can't have a successful school.
