Position: 2nd Supervisor
Age: 51
City/Town of residence: Sylvester Township
Family: My wife, Holly and my son, Alex
Education: Associates Degree Business Administration, Blackhawk Technical College
Occupation: Self employed farmer
Previous elected positions held: 2nd Supervisor for Sylvester Township for 6 years
What are the top issues facing this district/municipality and how would you work to resolve it?
The top issue for Sylvester Township is CAFOS. Local governments have the option to submit more stringent ordinances on CAFO's to DATCP. Without DATCP's approval, our township is at risk for litigation. This may be a costly battle if we can't come to an agreement with the CAFO's.
What are other key issues facing the district/municipality, and how would you work to resolve them?
Another key issue is road maintenance. Sylvester township road maintenance budget consists of monies left after all township bills are paid. Any unforeseen costs would take away from the road maintenance fund.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I believe that I am a good candidate for this position because my conservative and practical approach to life helps me make good choices for the township.
