What are the top issues facing this district/board and how would you work to resolve them?

The annual county budget is always an important issue. The challenge is in balancing the county's limited financial resources with providing the quality services citizens expect. The budgetary process requires continual hard work, input and scrutiny by elected officials, staff and the public alike.

What are other key issues facing the district/board, and how would you work to resolve them?

Green County citizens will vote in an August referendum on whether to raise the tax levy by $790,000 annually for a five-year period (2015-2019) to subsidize the operation of the Pleasant View Nursing/Rehabilitation facility. I support this referendum and I would urge the voters to vote yes. I'm available to discuss with anyone the reasons for my support.
