What are the top issues facing this board/council and how would you resolve them?

The main issue facing our board is the same issue most school districts are currently facing, and that's the changing nature of how we fund our public schools and the challenge to continue providing an excellent education with fewer resources. I think the board has done a good job of keeping spending in line over the years, and it must continue to make sound financial decisions while continuing to provide our kids with the tools they will need to be successful after their high school years. I believe I can put almost 20 years of work experience in various industries, much of that time spent analyzing financial data, to good use for the improvement of our district and to make sure we're using our financial resources wisely. I strongly value the benefits that the small school experience provides to our students, and will work hard to make sure our next generation will continue to have that opportunity.
