What are the top issues facing this board/council and how would you resolve them?

The New Glarus School System is facing a very exciting time with the addition of a new middle school. While this is very exciting and a great opportunity for the New Glarus community, it will bring with it transitions, obstacles and adjustments - not just by students and staff, but also from administration and the community. I have a strong desire in my passion for education and as a parent and community member to want to be a part of this process and assist in making the transitions move in the best way possible for everyone involved. We will not know what all the issues regarding the new middle school will be until we are up and running with it. I had the opportunity to be involved in the interview process for the middle school principal position and think that the number of applicants and the quality of the applicants is a reflection of the quality for our schools and community.
