What are the top issues facing this board/council and how would you resolve them?
1. Maintaining and improving student learning in a financially difficult time.
2. Creating opportunities for 21st Century learning where students are provided alternative learning tracks to prepare them for their life choices.
3. Using our resources effectively to provide the students in our district with the best education possible.
4. Maximizing school district resources by sharing resources with surrounding school districts.
Our school district has several programs and projects addressing the above issues. These programs and projects are in various stages of development and implementation. Individual board members need to work together as a team with the other board members, the administration, the staff, and the families in the district to research the issues and to develop relevant solutions that are practical and financially responsible. Having served as a board member for three years and participating in the development of our existing and planned programs makes me a qualified candidate for the Albany School Board.
