What are the top issues facing this district/board and how would you work to resolve them?

1. Maintaining quality city services while maintaining expenses and taxes.

2. Retaining existing business and attracting new business

Working with city employees for long-range planning to keep up with issues rather than have to catch up. Doing what we can a little at a time rather than having to do big projects all at once.

Brodhead has developed a new website. The website can be used for tourism, shopping, dining, attracting new business, etc. City land, TIF funds, BID funds, downtown improvement funds, are all available.

What are other key issues facing the district/board, and how would you work to resolve them?

Changed to alderman at-large rather than alderman by ward. Sometimes it is hard to get candidates to run for office. Now anyone in the city can run for empty seats even if they do not live in a certain ward.

Developing the Pearl Island project. Working with a matching grant from the DNR to make Brodhead and Green County a destination for hiking, biking, water activities, nature trails, etc.
