What are the top issues facing this district/municipality and how would you work to resolve it?
I've yet to be appointed a specific committee to be chairman of if elected, but I think some of the big issues the village is facing are what will be done with the old High School building, and future maintenance of the dam and power plant.
I think ideally, besides common sense it's important to collect as much information as possible and hear all the available ideas before deciding on a plan. I think the power plant is a valuable resource to the village and is worth maintaining and possibly improving in the future.
What are other key issues facing the district/municipality, and how would you work to resolve them?
I think an inherent issue with government in general is how its time is spent, and how its resources are used. Especially how tax money is used. As a Christian I believe the words Jesus said in Luke 12:48: "Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more."
Making the most of the time and using resources and tax dollars for what they were intended for are important qualities to me.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
Honestly, I'm not sure that I am the best candidate for the job, but I will say that I would take it seriously. Faithfulness is an important quality to me, and I would do my best to be faithful to the roll.
