DARLINGTON - Country music artist Tracy Byrd was announced this week as the headliner of the lineup for the 2009 Lafayette County Fair.
Byrd will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the Lafayette County Fairgrounds, 701 E. Louisa St. in Darlington. He'll be preceded on the stage at 7 p.m. by the Stump Fiddle Band.
The fair will be held July 15-19. Chairman Wayne Wilson announced the lineup on Tuesday. It will include:
• Wednesday, July 15: Stock car racing, 7 p.m.
• Thursday, July 16: Lafayette County Area Tractor Pull, 7 p.m.
• Saturday, July 18: Lafayette County Area Tractor Pull, 1 p.m., followed by the Badger State Tractor Pull at 6:30 p.m.
• Sunday, July 19: Antique Tractor Pull at 11 a.m., followed by the gauntlet, crash car and trailer races at 6 p.m.
