DARLINGTON - Jason Udelhofen was recently named the 2013 race director for the Lafayette County Speedway.
Udelhofen will work with community members, race enthusiasts and volunteers to promote a full 13-week season at the Lafayette County Speedway, organizers said in a news release.
Udelhofen previously raced at Lafayette County Speedway and several other local tracks in the tri-state area. During his racing career he won eight track championships and more than 45 feature wins. As a racer, Udelhofen also built race cars and currently works at Kohn's Auto Body in Platteville.
Racing at Lafayette County Speedway starts Friday, April 19 with the $1,000 to win Modified Spring Spectacular. Udelhofen has plans for other specials and regular Friday night racing throughout the summer. He currently lives outside of Platteville with his wife and three children.
