Business Brief: Teachers complete curriculum training

MILWAUKEE - Throughout the summer, more than 800 teachers attended core training at Milwaukee School of Engineering where they learned the complete curriculum for a Project Lead the Way course.

PLTW provides rigorous and innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education curricular programs used in schools.

The following area teachers have completed coursework:

Argyle: Chuck Lynch of Argyle High School completed core training for introduction to engineering design.

Belleville: Michelle Amend and Pamela Emmerich of Belleville Elementary School completed core training for launch lead teacher training; Mike Putnam and Lana Swenson of Belleville Middle School and Julia Xistris of Belleville Intermediate completed core training for design and modeling; and Meredith Smith of the School District of Belleville completed core training for principles of engineering.

Darlington: Matthew Anderson of Darlington Community Schools completed core training for principles of engineering.

Monroe: Jay Moelling of Monroe school district, completed core training for principles of engineering.

New Glarus: Peter Bertling of New Glarus High School completed core training for introduction to computer science and principles of biomedical science; Ross Eddy of the New Glarus School District completed core training for energy and the environment; David Flannelly of New Glarus completed core training for computer science principles; and Erin Kovach of New Glarus Middle School completed core training for flight and space.
