JUDA - At the annual Rural Schools Conference Nov. 10, Mahlkuch Electric was honored by the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping address challenges faced by rural school districts.

Jeff Mahlkuch, owner of Mahlkuch Electric, is a 1987 graduate of the Juda school district.

Offering more than monetary support, Mahlkuch has supported the music department, the athletes, the 4-H clubs and the community-based ForeFathers organization in Juda. Every year, he supplies numerous Christmas gifts for students and office staff. He also has supported the math team at the top level of sponsorship and donated an electric meter to the math/physics department and taught students how to use it. He donated materials and time to teach the physics class about lighting and energy savings; time and materials to the sports boosters to upgrade outlets and lights in the concession stand and the community park; and has donated materials and time to the FFA.
