MONTICELLO - After 33 years of service to the Bank of Monticello, Mike Klassy has retired.
Klassy graduated from New Glarus High School in 1969. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated in 1973 with a degree in finance. Klassy served as a bank examiner for the State of Wisconsin before securing a job at a Dodgeville bank.
Klassy started at the Bank of Monticello on March 1, 1980 and officially retired on March 1, 2013.
He is in several professional organizations including CEOnly, a group of bank CEOs; Wisconsin Bankers Association; and Community Bankers of Wisconsin, where he served as chairman.
Klassy and his wife, Bonnie, have two daughters Andrea (John) McSherry and Alissa.
