MONROE - A broken sprinkler in a Minhas Craft Brewery warehouse Wednesday triggered a call to the Monroe Fire Department.
Gary Olson, president of brewery operations, said a forklift operator accidentally struck and broke the sprinkler head with the pallets of beer he was transporting.
The broken pipe sprayed water across the warehouse floor and the resulting change in water pressure triggered an automatic call to the fire department.
After the fire department arrived, water flow to the sprinkler was shut off and employees cleaned up the damage.
"The damage was minimal," Olson said. "It was really just an expensive floor cleaning."
