SPRING GROVE TOWNSHIP - A 52-year-old woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash

near Brodhead Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12, according to the Green County

Sheriff's Department.

Judy A. Cary, Brodhead, was driving a 2006 Chevy Impala westbound on Pedee Road

about a half-mile east of County G when the car left the road, hit a tree and

came to rest in a field.

Brodhead EMS, firefighters, police and sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the

scene at 4:56 p.m.

Cary, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found deceased. She was not wearing

a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's department

and coroner.

This is Green County's seventh traffic fatality of 2013.
