BRODHEAD - The Brodhead teen who was killed in a one-vehicle accident at about 9:45 p.m. Monday in the W400 block of Decatur Road has been identified.
Ryan D. Strommen, 19, was killed when his vehicle left the road and hit a tree about a quarter mile west of Brodhead. He was a 2007 graduate of Brodhead High School and was attending Blackhawk Technical College to become an aircraft mechanic.
Strommen was pronounced dead at the scene by the Green County Coroner's office.
Strommen was the lone occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Roderick said Strommen was not wearing a seatbelt. Speed was a factor in the crash, Roderick said.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine if Strommen had a medical condition that may have contributed to the accident.
