Tix available for breakfast

MONROE - The 2010 Monroe High School Homecoming breakfast will be from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4 at the Cheesemaker Cafe in the high school. The breakfast will include vanilla yogurt, strawberries and blueberries, breakfast pastries, bagels with cream cheese, sausage patties, pancakes with syrup, juice and coffee.

Tickets for the breakfast are $5. They can be purchased from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and from 3:25 to 3:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27 through Friday, Oct. 1 outside the high school office and at Ruf's Confectionery on the Square.

Clinic to bless pets Oct. 4

MONROE - The Monroe Clinic is holding a Blessing of Animals ceremony from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4 at Monroe Clinic.

The Animal Blessing is one of the events of the 2010 Mission and Values celebration. The public is invited to bring a pet or a picture of a pet for a blessing.

Items collected for GCHS sale

MONROE - The semi-annual Green County Humane Society Garage & Bake Sale will be held Thursday, Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. The sale will be held at Monroe Auto Sales.

Bring items to be donated to Monroe Auto Sales between noon and 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27; noon and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29. No adult clothing, shoes, computers, printers, outdated microwaves or TV sets will be accepted.

A bake sale will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, and donations are needed. Donated baked goods can be dropped off at Monroe Auto either Wednesday or early Thursday morning.

All money collected will go directly to the care of the GCHS animals. Call Geri Bartholf (325-9402) or Kathy Dreikosen(325-5562) for more information.
